Hello,

With kind reggards please help me!
I've made a skin and it looks almost grate in iE but in others....just goes crazy...
And what I mean with crazy, as long as the skin is left without any modules looks perfect, when I start to insert modeles and content inside them the skin starts to
rip apart
....firefox adds stupid spacing beneath the modules and so on here take a look

This is becaus IE is wrong.

You should use an XHTML doctype for the skin, then IE will finally render the page correctly, which is what all the other browsers render..

In other words when I parse the skin to not use skin.htm and use skin.xhtml ? please explain more I'm new at this....sorry

If you parse the skin, skin.html and skin.xml are used to create a new skin.aspx. This is not connected to the previously mentioned doctype file.

Accepted Answer 

You should add a file named: "myskin".doctype.xml for every HTML or ASCX file in the skin pack.

The content of this file should be:

<SkinDocType>
    <![CDATA[<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">]]>
</SkinDocType>
