Hi,

My website is build out of dotnet nuke platform. The site is left justified so it appears on the left side of the screen and there is large white space on the right. How do I center the site so it appears in the center of the screen with equal white space on either side of the screen. Also is there a way to add shadow effect the pages of the site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance!

AJ

Apply a "margins: 0px auto;" to the css for the content wrapper and possibly a "text-align: center" depending on results.  Use IE's developer toolbar or Firefox Firebug to sift through the code to find the appropriate wrapper to apply the css to in your skin.css file (inline styles are naughty, css applied via stylesheets is not, though sometimes we are all rebels).

As far as adding shadows, you'd have to create the graphics for that and add them to your skin.  IE does have some shadow capabilities, but other browsers don't, so you have to use images for the shadows in order to be cross-browser friendly.

Please note that center aligning like this will only work in IE if you use an XHTML doctype
