Im in the skin of minimul extropy, trying to change the body background color, (removing the .png files in there to, just simple and solid., in the skin.css file, at the top, I changed the background to a solid color and it worked in firefox, then I look at IE, nothing, i went back in there and even deleted that IE6skin.css file, and IE was unchanged, am i missing something?

my goal is to take out the .pngs, and just put a nice simple solid color in the background that works for IE, FIrefox, etc.

Do you have the url so we can have a look?

Have you tried this:
body#Body {}

you may try put a border on above line and see if it works.

andy

I'm quoting a post of mine - found here.

2 things, that might help...

  1. DNN is actually a form.  The form's ID is #Body - this is thus DNN's "body" id.  You would need to tell this selector to have 100% height as well, so that your background doesn't "run out".
  2. Then there's body, which is browser body.

You can learn more about this at this post - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/109/threadid/282081/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Hopefully it helps a little.  But read the skinning guide.
