Hi all,

I am trying to implement JQuery in a NAV Menu for DNN5. My question is, is it possible or should JQuery replace the NAV Menu?

If I am to use JQuery, does this mean that I will have to use/code the lists in the ascx file myself? Or is there any other way around it, as I plan to develop a skin and have the users create their own pages.

Thanks. Appreciate the help and knowledge given.

You should not use the NAV object for this, since it's using it's own JS.

Try another UL menu skin object like housemenu, or the UL menu by snapsis

Just want to clarify things a bit here.  The Nav Object is a skin object.  This object can use any existing navigation provider (DNNMenu, DNNTree, DropDownList), or a custom one.  It should be easy to implement one that spits out straight HTML unordered list.  This would be how I would recommend implementing a UL within DNN.

Jon I agree, but I concluded that a skinner asking this question is not a .NET programmer.

In that case, using another menu SKO would be the easiest solution.
