Hi,
I am working on my first Skin in DNN (5.1) and everything was going fine until i tried to use containers, basically it does not show up once installed, by that i mean there is not option to select it under admin > skins.

I added the following to the manifest file:

 <friendlyName>Spidersnetcontainer</friendlyName>
      <description>First dot net nuke container </description>
   <owner>
        <name>Ash</name>
        <organization>Spidersnet</organization>
      </owner>
      <license>No warrenties and no support</license>
      <releaseNotes>This is the first release of the spidersnet test.</releaseNotes>
  <components>
<component type="Container">
<containerFiles>
   <containerFile>
              <name>simple.html</name>
            </containerFile>
    <containerFile>
              <name>container.css</name>
            </containerFile>
   </containerFiles>
  </component>
  </components>
 
 </package>

When it installs it does seem to install ok just not show up.

yep that was it, i had a  <basePath> for the skin but not the container, added one and that did the trick thanks for your help
