I've been searching for a resolution to this problem and all the suggestions I've found have not helped. Whenever I try to upload the new skin I get the following error:

Error: File Upload is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Access to the path 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Intranet_dnn\Portals\_default\Skins\Minimalist-Orange-Gradient\backgrounds\Black' is denied. ---> System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Intranet_dnn\Portals\_default\Skins\Minimalist-Orange-Gradient\backgrounds\Black' is denied. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.Directory.InternalCreateDirectory(String fullPath, String path, DirectorySecurity dirSecurity) at System.IO.Directory.CreateDirectory(String path, DirectorySecurity directorySecurity) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.SkinController.UploadSkin(String RootPath, String SkinRoot, String SkinName, Stream objInputStream) at DotNetNuke.UI.Skins.SkinController.UploadSkin(String RootPath, String SkinRoot, String SkinName, Stream objInputStream) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.FileSystem.WebUpload.cmdAdd_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

My IT Department says I should have all the correct access... Please help!?!?!

Thanks in advance!

Make sure the \Intranet_dnn and all sub-directories has either the ASPNet (IIS5) user or NetworkServices (IIS6 / IIS7).  Some other things your IT department might want to check is.

1) Do they have the permissions set so that all sub-directories inherit from the root directory (\Intranet_dnn).  I have seen this cause so many issues in the past it is not funny.  Don't assume that permissions are set to inherit to all the sub-directories.

2) If running under IIS6/IIS7, what direcotry is the AppPoll running under that this site uses.  By default under IIS6 this was set to NetworkServices and in IIS7 it had to be set (and most people set this to NetworkServices).  But if the AppPool is set to another user then that is the user that will have to be setup to have read, write, modify permissions on the \Intranet_dnn and all sub-directories.
