i have a container that works in one skin, but not another.  the container uses 4 images to create container with rounded corners (2 on top, 2 for bottom).  the content area uses Left and Right borders to connect the top with the bottom.

in both skins i add and html module to the top pane and assign the container in question to it.  i then enter three test lines in each skin.    when entering the text in both skins, the lines are double spaced and the source appears to be identical.  when saved, the skin where the container works shows the lines as single spaced.  in the other skin, the lines remain double spaced and an extra blank line is added before and after the content area which pushes the top and bottom of the container away from the content area.

since the container works in one skin and not the other, i'm assuming it's something in the skin's CSS file causing it, but i can't figure out what.  i've used ie developer toolbar to try to troubleshoot, but still no luck.  i don't see where anything special is being done with the <p> in the css files.  i'm using dnn 5.1.

thanks-

rick

I noticed that the skin that works has *{margin:0; padding:0;} so I added that to the skin.css that wasn't working and it took care of the problem.  It also worked to set the top&bottom margins to 0 for the paragraph style in the content area in the container -ie  .contentarea_container p{margin-top:0; margin-bottom:0;}
