Hello,

I'm currently experimenting with the Token Replacement option in a skin, I can get this working in ascx, but not when configuring as an object token.

Here's an example:

This works in ascx file:

<dnn:TEXT runat="server" id="TokenReplacement"  CssClass="skinobject" ReplaceTokens="True"  Text="[Portal:URL]" />

Doing the equivalent as an object token:

<object id="TokenReplacement" codetype="dotnetnuke/server" codebase="TEXT">
                <param name="CssClass" value="skinobject" />
                <param name="ReplaceTokens" value="True" />
                <param name="Text" value="[Portal:URL]" />
            </object>

Becomes [Portal] - it strips out :URL when it is converted into an ascx file, so the token doesn't work

So I tried:

 <param name="Text" value="&#91Portal:URL&#93" />

Which displays as [Portal:URL] as text in the rendered skin

Could you confirm for me is this a bug or should it be configured in a different way as an Object Token?

Thanks,

Lee

AFAIK this error has recently been reported and might already been fixed in DNN 5.2.3
