I have a public site. The only people who would ever sign in would be admins. I don't want end users to see the Login text. No point in giving attention to the login URL if unnecessary. Admins have the direct link to the login page. So what I'd like is for the signin object to display Logout when someone is signed in, but nothing when they are not. Is this possible?

My workaround is simply to exit the browser, as it seems that this ends the session. But having a logout link would be preferable.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jeremy

If noone else comes up with a better idea the crudest method is to set the text in the the login skin control to a space  i.e.   <dnn:LOGIN runat="server" ID="dnnLOGIN1" Text=" " LogoffText="Staff Logout" />

This leaves the issue of the space causing other text or objects next to the login control to be out of alignment and clickable (if you know where to look) but then you can always apply a cssclass and position things accordingly.

I'll leave someone else to come up with a better idea

Marcus

IMHO an additional setting "loginVisible" would be a nice enhancement.

When you want something visible based on a security role, why not wrap it in a standard asp .Net LoginView?

Did I miss somthing glaringly obvious?
