Hello,
Please, i need to make a gif animated picture for my site's bakground.
I have correctly modified the CSS file in the skin by addin this :
background-image : url(bulle2.jpg);
The problem is that the image is correctly shown with FIREFOX but not with IE.
What could be the reason please?

Thanks

Hi,

The image you've got a link to is a jpeg, not a gif. Although this wouldn't explain why it would work in FF and not IE because jpegs can't be animated. Have you cleared your browser cache in IE, it might be picking up an older version of the background image.

If this doesn't sort it can you provide a link to a live example of this so I can take a look at the background in action?

Regards,

Rick.

Hello, Thanks for responding, It is a gif background (www.pakcan.fr). i have IE 8. I notice that i should changing parameters in IE to allow displaying animation (tool-->Internet Option-->Advanced-->Multimedia). Doing this the gif background is displaying. How can i force IE to display animation, is there a JS script? Thanks

Hi,

I've had a look at the site you linked to and it works for me in IE, it may be something to do with your setup, have you tried looking at it in IE on another machine?

Regards,

Rick.

Hi, I tested it from other machine, i have the same problem. To display animation (gif picture), i should modify IE parameter. Is it possible to execute script when calling the site? in order to automatically enable IE displaying animation Thank you very much
