I ended up doing this to get the image to show up: .AllMenu .root { background-image:url(images/orangearrow.jpg); background-repeat:no-repeat; background-position:left; } Works like a charm now. Thanks! Kristine

On the original problem (when the menu is displaying as part tables), when I ran into the exact same problem (only appeared in Safari & Chrome) I reverse engineered the Extropy skin and found that this snippet of CSS worked to resolve the spacing: (assuming the CSSClass for the Menu is MainNav)

.MainNav tr.mi td{
padding: 0 2px;
}
