I just recently finished a skin for a client and it is now having some formatting issues in Chrome.  When a submenu of a submenu is displayed horizontally, there is a large amount of space between the two menus.  Site can be found at www.myriadsystems.com.  This problem only exists in Chrome and Safari.  I can't seem to find a css setting that is causing this.  Anyone seen this or have any thoughts?

Thanks a million!
Kristine

I have not seen the menu issue although, I have seen odd behavior in the webkit based browsers with gaps like you have. I spent most of last night fighting a container design that works in everything except webkit browsers.

B.T.W. You issue is also seen in Opera as well.

Thanks.  I've never had this much of an issue with a menu before.  I didn't know if this was new to DNN 5 or what.  ugh.  Any thoughts on how to eliminate that gap in the menus?

Kristine, Dave,

If your creating skins for DNN5 I'd recommend rendering the NAV skin object as a list, here's a link to an example skin file by Timo. What I'd do is unzip this and take a look at the source code of the .ascx files as examples.

The advantage of this is that the menu then becomes easier to style, as it's a set of ul elements, and it's search engine friendly.

Regards,

Rick.

I agree with Rick on using the ul mode of the menu if you can. I wish my container issue would have been as simple <grin> The menu was not the cause of my extra padding.
