I'm using the unordered list rendering for the dnnmenu in dnn 5.3.1 and cannot get the icon class (.icn) to show up.  I've a myriad of style combinations to induce the class, but to no avail:

.mainMenu .m .icn, .mainMenu .m a .icn, .mainMenu .m a.icn, .mainMenu .m .bc .icn, .mainMenu .icn, .mainMenu li.icn, .mainMenu li .icn{width: 10px;background:#ccc url('images/arrow-gray.gif') no-repeat center center;}

In the past, I've been able to use the .icn class to add a graphical element to the submenu items, without having to set individual icons in the page settings.

I've poured over the forums and blogs, but cannot find anything addressing this issue.
Thanks for any and all help.

The icon will show the icon you set in the page settings.
If you want to use a general icon for all items, you will have to use padding on the LI and use a background-image.
