Hi,

I have downloaded a free skin to try out the skinning options.  I need to apply one skin to the admin and one to the rest of the portal

In the skin page, i choose a skin and applied it to the portal, then choose another and appiled it to the admin.

When browsing the site, the latest skin has been appiled to the portal and the admin.

How can i begin to debug this issue or resolve it ?

Any ideas?

I have just realised that when you apply an admin only skin, (by choosing apply to :admin)  it seems like nothing has changed.

but then if you go to the actual portal (not the admin tab) and edit an element, like text - the skin then changes to the one you have choosen.

but if you go to the admin tab, you still have the portal skin.

Is this what is actually meant to happen with this.  Because, my requirement for an admin skin is the opposite to this.

I require the admin tab (and possilby host tab) to have one skin, and the portal to have another, but when editing in line portions in the portal (when logged in ) this should still have the portal skin to keep continuity.

"admin skin" has been renamed to edit skin, i.e. it appears whenever the edit module is displayed solely on the skin. you may override the portal setting for page skin (view skin in this context) for all admin pages by applying to admin menu root and copy over to descendants (there is an option in control panel and page settings). This will, however, not affect edit skin.

So the Admin Skin is out then... as this is the edit skin, which i dont need to change.

So im trying to unserstand how i can change the Admin (and host) control panels skin.

how do i override this skin then, i didnt quite understand what you said above.

Im sorry i am new to DotNetNuke and have been thrown in the deepend by my employer to get this working :)
