I have a skin that I want to package (on a DNN 542 instance) to be able to apply it to another portal. The skin in question was originally developed as a legacy host skin, and has been packaged successfully once before. When I edit the skin package, I can update the data, but when I save it, it doesn't take me to the create package wizard as I expected.

I have tried creating a new version of the skin package, but am still not taken to the create package wizard. I am also unable to delete skin versions in the Host-->Extensions page.

Am I doing something wrong, or is there no facility for upgrading / repackaging skins?

AFAIK packaging is available on local install only. you may, however, simply zip the skin folder (legacy format).

Thanks Sebastian. In fact, I am trying to package it on a local install. I will probably create the package by hand for the time being, but I want to understand how / whether this works .

Hi Paul, for legacy packging format, see the Skinning guide you may download from Resources > Documentation >Downloads menu item above.
