I installed a DNN website (version 5.3.2) just a month or two ago. I now have edits to the existing skins and I've been able to pull up the HTML files in SharePoint Designer to add URL links for pages that didn't exist at site start-up.  The changes I made in SharePoint Designer saved on the web server: is there a way I can go into Admin or Host and parse these HTML files to update their respective ASCX pages?

If you go to the Admin/Skins page you can choose the skin package and Parse

Thanks for the quick response Chris, but that's revealed I have a problem:

When I go to Admin/Skins and then choose the skin package I uploaded (named "DarkBlueSkins" because of the background), I'll get the generic (gray blank) icon for all 16 skins I created. But at the very bottom of the page I have "Restore Default Skin" and no option for "Parse Skin Package".

I'm afraid I'll apply the "MinimalExtropy" package; or is that necessary so DNN can parse my custom HTML files properly while the default skins keep the ASCX client compositions in place? Or am I off base?

You won't get icons if you didn't create thumbnails for the skins, so the default one showing up is fine. As for why you don't have a parse option, what if you login as HOST?

The skins you changed are HTML skins right, not ASCX skins? If ASCX you don't need to parse, the changes should be immediate.

Chris,
That's correct: All I did with the HTML files was paste in the URL's for the pages created AFTER I installed and applied my custom skins. The HTML files with all the complete URL links are updated and saved in the same directory as the ASCX files. The ASCX should update automatically with the HTML edits? Hmmmm...

When I'm logged in as Host, where should I try to parse the HTML files? Under Extensions? Under Site Settings?

For what it's worth: I have no control over the SQL Server 2005 that runs the back engine for this web site. The Dot Net Nuke 5.3.2 was installed by the SQL programmer as he understood the configurations for our ASP network (the installation went smooth: no hiccups, no errors). Is there something he could do for my DNN website directory that would "refresh" the ASP and the ASCX files would refer to my edited HTML files?

Thanks again for the help, Chris!
