Users complain to me that it should be possible to specify the container type when publishing. What they find is that it si rather "complicated" to publish new content.
They say it would be better if they could publish content (html/text) easier.
They find the process requieres meny activities:
  1. add module: they specify the title and add it. (most have to publish content and then move it as they canot see where it will go. also the dropdown is so small that they cant see the name of the secction)
  2. then they have to click to go to the text editing page and add the content.
  3. then they have to click and go "search arround" to change container.

they say that the process should permit them to select the module and container, (first) then where (some visula help) and leave them ready to add contet.

just a thought.

I agree, it would be good if one could select the container from the control panel.
Did you know you can set the default container for a pane in the skin BTW?

Sorry if I'm resurrecting an older post, but I am interested in that last statement.  How do you set a default container for a particular pane in a skin?  I have only found a default container setting for the page, but not for each pane.  That would be extremely helpful for my needs.
