Running DNN Version 5.05.01

I'm having trouble finding a lot of documentation for the DNN menu besides the styling the elements via css.

Couple of questions regarding DNN Menu:

1) If i have a "Products" page with subpages that you can go to from the "Products" sub menu, on the "Products" page or any of the "Products" subpages, how can you always make the submenu for "Products" visible?

2) Can the menu be built in the code behind of my *.ascx file?

You can do with menus in the skin but one solution that I like is to use a module on those page that needs this.

There is a nice module on codeplex made by Joe Brinkman.

Try this module I think it will solve your needs.

Depending on your use and page organization, you may also have some luck with ChildLinks from Ventrian (link).

So I was able to find how to build my menu in the code behind with

List<TabInfo> tabs = TabController.GetPortalTabs(PortalSettings.PortalId,Null.NullInteger,true,true);

Problem is it returns every tab, even the "admin" pages. Since the isAdminTab is deprecated, it always returns false. How do I differentiate the "admin" tabs that require a login and the "consumer" tabs?
