I'm trying to get a handle on how to deal with an issue I'm having with the default DNN navigation (DNN 5). The submenus that drop down from the root-level items are positioned fine, but the submenus based on the submenu items appear about 150 to 200 pixels to the right of the parent submenu. When I examine the rendered page, it appears that the positioning of each submenu is absolute, but I'm not sure how the positioning is generated. The DNN Navigation Controls document is...unhelpful. Can anyone give me some advice?

I've run into this as well, and what I wound up doing was reverse-engineering the styles of the MinimalExtropy skin. What I found was that adding this bit of CSS seems to have fixed it (at least for me):

(Assuming .MainNav as the CSS class assigned to the nav element)

.MainNav tr.mi td{
    padding: 0 2px;
    text-transform:none;
    text-align:center;
}

Thanks a lot! That seems to fix my problem. I take it that it's the text-transform: none that does it?

If I recall correctly, it's actually the padding. I seem to recall commenting out / adjusting attributes to see which triggered it. As to WHY, I wish I could sound like a CSS guru but I'm honestly not sure.
