Has anyone experimented with adding backgrounds with animation (such as flash or animated images?) For example, if I wanted to have an ad for a promotion be the background of my web portal, can I do that if I am using DNN? (To illustrate what I mean, when a new movie trailer is out, sometimes you may visit a news site and their background is the movie trailer with a few seconds of animation that resets as you move from page to page within the website.)

If you have, is there any special instructions for this to work?

Thanks for help!

Anim Gif should be no problem, be aware that flash still needs a plugin and often has difficulties with overlapping content due to z-index used.

Salar Golestanian built a nice site something along these lines.

You can see it here.   His DNN skins website is here.

Hi Everyone, thanks for the replies! I wanted to be sure we are all talking about the same thing. When you go into "Site Settings" under Admin and adjust the Background under "Appearances". Normally, we would just place a different color or images, and I was wondering if anyone has experimented with making the background animated? So for example, in the site that you sent Greg, I am referring to the grey and black area - having animation there.
