Panes are defined inside the skin.  You need to edit the skin to add, edit or delete panes.

Hi,

The panes are defined in the skinname.ascx file or skin.ascx file, usually as a <td> or <div> element with and ID and a runat="server" attribute. If you're unsure which skin you're using, take a look in the source code for the skin.css file, the source of which will show you the directory to look in and will be something like Portals/_default/Skins/SkinName.

Working with the skin.ascx or skinname.ascx file do the following:

To add panes you will need to create a new block HTML element with a unique ID including "Pane" text, plus a runat="server" attribute (e.g. <div id="NewPane" runat="server"></div>). Bear in mind that these have to be 100% unique in the skin file as duplicate ID's will cause an error.

To move panes around, you'll need to move the block HTML elements, and to delete them it's a case of deleting the block HTML element.
