I've got a custom skin that has its custom CSS file in the same folder, but DNN refuses to load the CSS file. It is referenced and named the same as the html file, but won't load in DNN. Every other CSS file loads, module, content, skin, menu, but not the custom CSS. It even loads in Dreamweaver. What's wrong with DNN?

dnn should automatically load skin.css and any css file the same name as the skins ascx FILE, obviously with a .css extension.

Check what .css files are in the generated source for your home page.

Christopher,

Have you tried restarting the application? Host > Host Settings (link is at the bottom of the page).

This has worked for me in the past.

Rick.

I didn't try those, I got it to work by renaming the folder, then re-parsing the skin.

If a skin is already parsed, DNN will  not detect an added CSS file unless you reparse the skin or restart the application.
If DNN would check for new CSS files on every page  load hat would not be good for performance.
