The templates function on my DNN 5.6.1 site was working perfectly yesterday, but today when I used it it started stalling while attempting to import the a template, where I have to kill the entire browser session and then log back into the site. The new templated page is created in the process, but is is all in disarray with the same modules copied over and over. I tried another template and it does the same thing.

Any clues to as to what could be causing the problem?
Thanks,

Will

did you try restarting the application (e.g. using the link in Host Settings)?

Sebastian,

Thanks, yes I did. But that wasn't the problem afterall. I had ten or so modules in the Export template that had the " Display Module on All Pages" checked, which caused it to duplicate most of the mods on the page six times over. So if you do the math, you can see why it seemingly stalled each time I attempted to Import the page in order to create a new page. Once I unchecked it worked fine again. The strange thing is, I had used the template before without having to uncheck the boxes and it worked fine. Anyway, it works like a charm now.

I spoke to soon. This very essential function of DNN is junk! It does not work reliably. It's back to duplicating modules and content repeatedly, instead working as it is supposed to. Can anyone recommend any third party apps that achieve the same funtionality, but actually work?

Thanks,

Will

Can you post a link where we can download the template for testing.  Without being able to see an example that exhibits the specific behavior, it will be hard to determine the exact cause.
