Good day!

When I create a skin using table markup there's no problem - all popups (such as sub-menus in NAV Menu or module menu) work correctly.

But when I try to make a <div> markup using relative/absolute positioning, popups open far from their place.

I noticed that each time when I show popup it's position is recalculated (by script) relatively to page origin. But as it's placed within a relative/absolute positioned <div> it's in fact placed relatively to that <div>. Moreover, each time it appears farther and farther.

Is there a bug in positioning script or should I use some techniques to prevent such a behavior?

Have you tried using a different DocType with your skin? I would start any skin with an XHTML doctype

I use XHTML Transitional doctype. But thank you for an idea, I'll try different ones.

My experience is that usually the placement of the action menus gets screwed up by the doctype not actually being XHTML 1.0 Transitional. You might also look at some existing skins to see how they implement the html/css
