There is a "Page Last Updated" module from Ian Lackey (ITLackey.NET, perhaps one of the greatest site names on the net?) that will display or provide the latest date of modules on the page.

The is set up to work with the HTML and Links modules, and there is an example of how to extend it to the Announcements module. It can be extended to other modules. There is a way to include SQL results.

With a little work, this could be altered to look at "all pages" to produce a "Site Last Updated" date.
