Don't use inline css, but add all your CSS to skin.css.
For more info you can read this: http://www.40fingers.net/WeblogsNews/...

Kishor,

I agree with Timo that you shouldn't be using inline CSS, although as a short term solution (if you're trying to figure things out on the page) it's fine, when you get to a stage with hundreds of pages and loads of CSS you'll regret it. There are several CSS files you can add/modify:

  • Default.css - The file with all the standard DNN settings can be downloaded via FTP from the server and modified
  • Skin.css - The standard CSS file that is used for all the skins in a skin pack, generally this is used for shared elements of skins in a pack, this file can be downloaded via FTP and modified as required
  • SkinName.css - A skin specific file (where skinname is the name of the skin in use) which holds skin specific styles, this file can also be downloaded vis FTP and modified as required
  • Portal.css - This is the last loaded stylesheet and can be modified through the Stylesheet Editor found at the bottom of the Admin > Site Settings page, possible the easiest one out of the 4 to change if you don't have FTP access, plus it loads last so has highest specificity.

Hope this helps you out

Regards,

Rick.
