I'm using the new Dark Knight skin with the Mega Menu and viewing it in IE 7 the menu displays behind modules placed in content pane. I tried adding a z-index value to the module header section but that didn't seem to do anything. Any ideas how to fix. Displays fine in FF and Chrome.

Hi Ian,

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately none of the solution suggested worked for me. This is an IE specific problem.  I have

.DnnModule{z-index:1;position:relative;height: 100%;}
.dnnActionMenu{margin:0;padding:0;position:absolute;z-index:10;color:#000;left:10px;top:10px;}

Set in portal.css default.css and skin.css and have made sure there are no other elements with z-index value of 1

And in dnnmega.css I have:

ul.dnnmega li .megaborder {position: absolute;font-family: Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;top:41px;left:0px;z-index: 1200;float: left;display: none; /*--Hidden for those with js turned off--*/background:none;}

Displays fine in Firefox, Chrome and Safari but in IE the menu is displayed under the html module content. I don't want to continue developing the site until I can resolve this problem.

This is a clean DNN 6 install using the default DarkKnight skin. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Rich

Hi Richard,
i've reported this behaviour some time ago into Gemini (DNN-17277 )
The answer was:
"This is reported against the CTP 3 - these are no longer a problem in the RTM"
so i assume an updtae to the last available DNN 6.0 Version should sove this issue.

OK, I figured it out.

Set default.css and portal.css back to original values. In skin.css add z-index:1000; to #Header .Content

#Header .Content{position:relative;width:960px;height:63px;margin:auto; z-index:1000;}

The menu will no longer be displayed behind the module content in IE.  Other z-index values may work I just arbitrarily chose 1000.
