Hey,
I posted a topic earlier today about some problems I had with skinning and setting icons. That post has not appeared yet, but I think what I wrote in there was not relevant. I have done some more testing, and am running into the same problem even when not using my own skin.

I just set up a demo here on the DNN site http://demo.dotnetnuke.com/donaldjohansson/
I logged in and without doing any other changes, I went to one of the pages and assigned the logo.png as the page icon. When I clicked update the site just timed out after a long time. Now I can't get to the demo site, and in fact I can't even get to http://demo.dotnetnuke.com itself.

I am using Firefox 5.0, so I wouldn't expect this to come from some sort of browser issue. Is everyone else having the same problem?

sorry, it's a known error and has been fixed for 6.0.1 (http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=17475&PROJID=2)

Thank you for letting me know. Means I am not crazy, at least. I searched the forums, but couldn't find anything about this.

When is 6.0.1 being released? Is there any workaround?

theres no workaround apart from making the code change yourself (im not at the right machine to check the changeset so I can't comment on how complicated that might me). We're finished the development stage of 6.0.1 and QA is almost finished all testing, so we create our signed builds on monday. Typically then it's only a few days to release, but if any serious errors are found it can cause a delay so I can't give an exact date.

As a workaround you might consider just replacing the logo file in the relevant folder on the server.  I am assuming you have, or can get, access to do that.

You'd probably need to restart the app to get it picked up.

Best wishes,
