I've been trying to configure the DDR Menu on my site using the following as the manifest:

<ul class="mainMenu">
 [*>NODE-TOP]
</ul>

[>NODE-TOP]
 <li class="root mi[?FIRST] first[/?][?LAST] last[/?][?SELECTED] sel[/?]">
  [?ENABLED]
   <a href="[=URL]">[=TEXT]</a>
  [?ELSE]
   [=TEXT]
  [/?]
 </li>
[/>]

And this as the code line in the skin file:

<dnn:MENU MenuStyle="MenuStandard" runat="server"></dnn:MENU>

This produces a main navigation pane at the top of my site.  When I select a root page then this is highlighted using the CSS class of "sel" - setting the text to yellow for the selected node.  However if I choose a child node of a root node then this highlight of the root node dissappears.  Is there any way I can setup the manifest file to check which is the root node of the page being displayed and then assigning a CSS class to it to highlight the text in yellow again?

Or does anyone have a better way of achieving this?

Cheers!

I don't know this tempalte way I only do xsl templates. But in xsl you use @breadcrumb so maybe this will do the trick?

<li class="root mi[?FIRST] first[/?][?LAST] last[/?][?BREADCRUMB] sel[/?]">
