In DNN v6 is there a way to create (export) a page template and then apply it (import) to an existing page including the SAME modules. When I try it the modules are duplicated.

Another way of looking at it—is there a way to simply duplicate pages (preferably multiple times at once)?

I can't find anything to this effect in the manual.

Thanks in advance!

You know you can copy a page?

Pages | Copy then on the Copy Page tab you get to choose for each module if you want a new one, a copy, or a reference.

Does that do what you need?  I'll confess I have my doubts when anyone wants mutiple clones of a page.  It suggests a future maintainance problem.  Every time I have seen it I have felt that there is a better solution, usually involving developing a custom module that wlll avoid the repetition.

Thanks Richard! The ability to copy modules under the Copy Page tab is what I was missing.

The reason I need copies of multiple pages is to keep all child pages under this particular parent the same except for the content. For example the module I'm using for the banner, links, and other buttons need to be consistent across child pages. There may be a better way of doing this but this will work for now. I'm on a tight deadline.

Thanks again for your help!

I'd also like to know if it's possible to set-up templates to do this...

I'd like to make some templates which contain new instances of many modules but reference a form & list module but pointing at a different xsl file.

Any ideas?
