Hopefeully another simple one, I have looked in the wiki and searched the forum but to no avail.

I can't seem to change the default container that is being used when a new page is added.  I have cleared out old, unused containers and since then get a lovely error on new pages stating a module could not be found.  I then put the container template back in the template folder, load the page up and change the container manually.  This is a bit of a pain on a 300+ page site.

I have checked every page in the admin/host sections and can find no reference at all to this old container.  I have also noticed that the error I get on the page that is missing the old container actually points to an even older default (a DNN standard one).

To summarise:

1 - Started with DNN standard container being the default.
2 - Changed this (somehow) to a test development container.
3 - Removed the test development container and at this point updated anything that resembles a reference to what might be a default container for example: [Admin > Site Settings > Site container].
4 - Receive an error stating that the original DNN standard container could not be found.
5 - Put the test development container back in and error goes away.

I can't find any reference to the original DNN standard container or the test container that seems to resolve the error.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks,

you can change the default at either the site (admin->site settings) or host levels - however these defaults only apply if the individual page(s) do not have a value set i.e. if they already have a container set then the change to the default will not affect them. You can also set the container via either the host or portal templates, or via the config/dotnetnuke.config (which contains skinningdefaults settings)
