Hi,I tried changing out a skin for a client's site today and found that the new skin doesn't have the same names for the various panes on the page. Do those pane names need to be changed in the skin, or is there a way to add/remove/revise the pane layout and names on the Layout view of a given page? Thanks,Sid

The module mapping is on pane name, if the pane with the given name does not exist, DNN will put the module in the contentpane (which is why you must have a pane named contentpane).

So if it's a skin for one page you can easily  move the modules to the new panes if the names are different.

If it's for a complete site it's easier to keep the pane names the same (although I usually use SQL to move the modules to the new pane, but that's also not risk free if you don't know 100% sure what your doing)

Hi Timo,Thanks for your reply. I was hoping for a quick/easy way to change out a skin that has different named content panes. So, skin1 has top bottom, left and right for example. Skin 2 has top1, top2, middle1, middle2 and footer. Is there a way to do this without having to recreate the modules inside each pane of the new skin? Thanks,Sid
