I have a simple aspx page in the Skins folder, along with a css and image folder
everytime i write "img src" on the page to display an image, it always displays 'broken link' icon

Portals\_default\skins\My_Company

\My_Company = index.ascx
\My_Company\images = many images

i have tried the following in my page
index.ascx :

<img src ="images/image.jpg">
<img sc="~/images/image/jpg">
<img src="~/Portals/_default/skins/My_Company/images/image.jpg">
<img src='<%= ResolveUrl("~/Portals/_default/skins/My_Company/images/image.jpg") %>'>

all these display the "broken link" image
what am i missing/get massively wrong ??

Thank you,

i over came this issue by using the asp:Image control

** how ever **

im still having trouble referencing and image in this image folder, from my desktopmodule module.css file :S

#div
{
background-image: url(''/images/image2.jpg');
background-image: url('~/Portals/_default/Skins/My_Company/images/image2.jpg');
}

To add an image to a skin, use the following format:

<img src="<%= SkinPath%>images/my-photo.jpg" alt="My Photo" />

This assumes the image in /Portals/YourPortal/Skins/YourSkin/images/my-photo.jpg
