Hi,

I'm creating a skin that contains 3 lines in the midfooter.  Each line is to be a hyperlink to another page in the site.  These 3 lines will need to be placed in the mid footer of every page on the site.

Is it advisable to hard code these image maps into the mid footer pane of my skin?  Or, should I just create the mid footer pane in the skin and place the image map using a Text/HTML module in it on each page?

In terms of usability, I'm thinking the Text/HTML approach would be best in case the URL needs to be changed for one or all the links in the future.  How have others tackled this issue?

Thanks,

Sid

either approach is fine - having them hardcoded as part of your skin is less overhead (i.e. one less module to load and render each time) but would require the skin to be updated if you need to change the links. Using a module, putting it in a pane, and setting it as "display in all pages" means you have more flexibility so it's really a judgement call on how often the content will change.

I'm going with the Text/HTML route given that the site owner has not yet pointed the domain and temp page URals are I'm use. Thanks for your guidance.
