Just wondering if workflow is implemented for skins.

Lets say i have portal p1 which had a skin S1 yesterday.

Today if a user changes the skin for p1 to S2 and something gets messed up.

It will be nice to rollback to previous skin S1.

Thanks.

There is no workflow for skins, you can only get them from you backup..

I often apply my own workflow. So I give the skin a new name matching the revision number in my Source Control system. So currently one site is on SkinNameR1556. Later today I will install SkinNameR1603. That allows the client to run the 1603 skin on a few test pages if he wants to. Later on he can put the skin live, when it suits him, by changing the skin in Admin Settings. It also make it VERY easy to cache images, script etc forever, because when the new skin goes live they will all get new urls.

This works brilliantly when a site has only one skin. It is is not so good is when a site uses several derivatives of the skin individually set on various pages. That requires more manual fiddling to set live.

Best wishes,
