Can numerous panes be add to the default skin then saved as a different name?

Do I need to change the default container when I do that?

If I assign that new skin name as the site default, I do not think it will change the existing pages?

So, can I replace the existing Dark Knight skin with a modified version with same name and then will that change existing pages?

I think the site pages would look exactly the same as before unless I use one of those new panes on a page  RIGHT?????.

Obviously I will want to do that on a test site!!!

1. yes, though you need to change the name of the ascx
2. no, containers are indepedant of skins - their content is hosted within a pane.
3. if you change the default if changes all pages where that is the current value i.e. if a page does not have a selected skin it has the default, if it has an assigned skin then it keeps that assigned skin.
4. yes, if you update it it will change all the pages - if you add panes that wont affect the site (beyond layout), but if you remove a pane and a container is hosted in that pane it will cause a problem (I cant recall if it causes an error - the content may instead just show in the contentpane)
5. yes, the pages will be the same until you select the new pane (as they'll collapse)
