Hi,

I need to know an easiest way to let multiple developers work on the dnn site. I developed a website using dnn. I have one more developer working on this site.  we work locally on the site, then we need to put them on the test site.  Lot of things happen behind the developer when we make changes to the site. How can we find out what was changed including database changes so that we can merge our stuff into test site. We have an SVN. Show we use this and do checkout and checkins like normal dotnet code?

thanks,

Kalyani

If you are developing code then it's like any other .Net website.

If you are developing content then it's all in the one database. That's harder.

DNN is a CMS platform not a source control solution. I'd recommend looking into a source control solution such as TFS or others that integrate with Visual Studio. I'd also encourage you to have your developers package their modules into installable extension for installation on your production site. Finally, setup a development environment to test change and build deployment procedures
