You could try my one size fits all solution for z-index issueshttp://jsfiddle.net/nokiko/LPBgh/

After looking at this in more detail, the HTML is fine and the CSS seems fine too but it still will not appear over any module in the contentpane.

I removed the menu and placed it in a skin and it worked fine.

Does anyone know why this issue happens in a module but not in a skin?

Thanks,
Mark

Hi Armand,

I tested your code and it seems to switch styles but it still doesn't work. My drop down menu still appears behind the module on the page.

Here's the z-index for the menu:

z-index: 10000 !important;

And here's what I switch to when I hover over the menu:

z-index: 999999 !important;

I know the style is changing because I added code to increase the font size on hover. So that part is working but the menu still appears behind the HTML module on the page. The container of the HTML module doesn't seem to be the cause because I can change to a different container and the problem still persists. The only time it works correctly is when I'm logged in as the host user account.

Would you happen to know why this happens? It works fine for the host account but no one else.
I've tried everything I can think of and I'm out of ideas.

Thanks,
Mark

Don't forget that  z-index only works for positioned elements...
http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_po...

Try adding position:relative too...
