I recently converted a website from DNN 5.x to DNN 6.x
and noticed that in DNN 6.x you can no longer place any HTML markup in the "Module Title." If you do, the HTML just displays the HTML text as is where as in DNN 5.X if you place html mark up such as <a name="mytestanchor"></a> inside the Module Title input field next the wording, the HTML Code would function.

Although this may now not be considered best practice, it really helped out for this particular situation.

Is there a way to get DNN 6.x to permit entry of HTML mark up in the Module Title input field?
To reproduce in DNN 6.x go to your page and select the module settings of the HTML OR just any module, example: Module>Settings>Basic Settings>Module Title> and inside the input field simply place something like <a name="mytestanchor"></a> next to some working in the input field...You will notice that in DNN 6.x the HTML text no longer acts as HTML but acts as raw text however in DNN 5.x the HTML will function if placed in the Module Title Input Field.

Is there a way i can work around this? Or a Setting I'm missing? Again this may now not be best practice but in the case of this intranet site I'm converting, it really was a nice trick used.

Please advise
Thanks

We had a similar issue for a client so I changed our Simple Title skin object to do an HTML decode before it outputs the title.

Change the styles for that container and that'll work.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Looks like for now https://simpletitle.codeplex.com/  from 40 fingers offers the best solution for my issue... however i'm not sure I'm grasping "Marks" solution... "Change the styles for that container"

Even if I change the style, the HTML code in the module title will still show up as "raw" text and not be interpreted as HTML code... In DNN 5.x i could change the styles for that module container all day and never have the HTML code display as raw text like DNN 6.x does.

I'm basically just trying to gain back the ability to interpret the HTML code like DNN 5.x permitted when placed in the Module Title as is the case with an Intranet site I am updating to DNN 6.x

Again, i plan to try all of the suggestions but just curious about specifically what you you meant, forgive me for not understanding correctly.

Please elaborate specifically on your solution of "Changing the styles" as DNN 6.x still displays any HTML code in the module title as raw text like it was a title itself even if you change the module style css.

Please clarify,
Thanks
