Since upgrading from DNN5.6.7 to DNN6.2.5, new pages added cannot be accessed from the main menu in IE and Firefox (on some skins). Page name shows in menu but clicking on it goes nowhere. Noticed source code shows:

...{id:\`606\`,key:\`606\`,txt:\`MediaPage\`,ca:\`3\`,url:\`http://www.mysite.com/MediaPage/tabid/606/Default.aspx\`,tar:\`_new\`,css:\`main_dnnmenu_rootitem\`,cssIcon:\` \`,nodes:[]}, ...

on offending skins. No "tar:\'_new\' " on skins that work. Relevant?

No error messages.

Any assistance for someone with very basic programming skills would be appreciated. Thanks

Do you know what menu component is used in the faulty skin?

One skin was based on the standard DNN-GRAY skin using dnnNAV/DnnMenuNavigationProvider.

Another more customised skin on another site appears to use dnn:SOLPARTMENU.

The problem is same when navigating from both of these skins.

Have just tried the standard DNN GRAY skin which doesn't work properly and the the Dark Knight skin which works fine.

Any thoughts?

Yes, these are legacy skins and the menu used is not developed any more.
It was developed in a way that it's output was very dependent on the browser and it does not support newer browsers.

To make sure this is the issue, try the site with the Dark Knight skin first.

The only thing you can do is upgrade the menu component to DDR menu.
That's less difficult then it seems (if you know something about skinning).

Thank you very much for your prompt response Timo. I will try this and let you know how it goes.
