I am in the process of writing a new skin, and couldn't find a good menu solution.  The DarkKnight skin had a good menu though, so I tried to utilize that.

From looking at the DDRMenu system, it "should" be as simple as copying over the menu directory over to the new skin, and calling that skin from the .ascx file.  But, that menu must be calling other settings because now my drop-down menus are about half the height that they are supposed to be , and appearing behind the modules.

I can probably get the z-index issue worked out, but the menu height is baffling me.  I cannot figure out which css code is missing.

Has anyone else successfully re-used this menu?

Already spent hours on those pages, which is what convinced me that I was doing it properly.

I think I figured out the problem, there was a typo in the doctype filename. I realized that when I was staring at the files trying to figure out what to do next... I fixed that and the menus are working now (along with the z-index issue). However, now all of my formatting is screwed... *grumble*

Oh, by the way, the wiki articles are nice in the basic setup, but are severely lacking in tweaking the menu CSS settings. A good reference on those would be nice.

Yep, had those awhile ago, some neat menus there, but they require a lot of tweaking to make work.
