Is it possible to link/reference a menu from a DotNetNuke site and integrate it into an ASP.NET master page?  We have a DotNetNuke web site with some pages owned and maintained by a 3rd party developer which is all ASP.NET.  The issue is every time there's a change to the DNN menus, we have to pay the 3rd party developer to update their master page to reflect the changes.

We looked into using I-Frame for the menu but it's not working correctly.  We can't seem to isolate the menu system - we get the entire DNN page - which could just be our lack of knowledge about how to use I-Frame.

Our shop is all ASP.NET C# .  We don't have any DNN experience.  There's another agency doing the DNN development and then there's the third party.

I don't think that would be easy to do.
When you want only the menu you should create a skin with only the menu in it.
Possible in theory, but it's very tricky to get to work if it would work at all.

But there might be another solution.
The 3rd part developer could dynamically get the pages in DNN and add them to the menu.
I once wrote a custom menu that spit out the DNN menu in XML for use in flash, but you could also use the sitemap which is default DNN functionality.

Example: www.dotnetnuke.com/sitemap.aspx

Might be an option.

What if we removed the header, menu and footer from the 3rd party asp.net master page so their pages are just content.  Is there a feature in DNN skins that would allow hosting of their content pages?  If so, what should we be focusing on?

Thanks for your help.

Yes, if you have the option to do that, you could load the other site without header and footer in DNN in the iframe module. (it's not installed by default)

Ok, thanks.  We'll give it a try.
