All,

Support has confirmed there is a bug in page templates where the specified skin within the template is not being applied to new pages.  Instead it's using the portals default skin.

When I open the page template I clearly see this reference to the skin file that I need applied to all new pages:

< skinsrc >[G]Skins/WSFS Marketing/1-Column-With-Search.ascx< / skinsrc >

This skin is not being applied.  The portals default template is being applied instead and I don't want that to happen.

My preference is to NOT change my portals default skin in case that applies it to all existing pages.  Since I use 4 different skins on all the pages, I can't apply a single skin to all pages.

Is there a work around for this?  Anyone have a solution that works?  I simply can't ask all my editors to add pages and change skins too.

Thanks,

Mark

AFAIK the issue is that ascx skins are not in included in the portal template.

I normally create a separate skin package, and install that before using the portal template.
(you can first create a new empty portal and then overwrite it with the portal template you want)
