I was hoping someone out there may have some experience with this and might offer some suggestions. I've read some issues with linkclick but haven't seen a solution to this.
We purchased a DNN Enterprise license for our organization with the intent that we would move/combine our existing community installations (about 15-20) into a single Enterprise installation over time.
Over the past few weeks I have begun testing with one of our websites that was originally a 5.06.03, and have followed the same pattern in testing:
1. Uninstalled all unused modules, removed unnecessary pages, emptied recycle bin. Ensured that all modules in community edition are identical in version to what I have in Enterprise.
2. Updated skins to be based in the Portal rather than the Host
3. Upgrade to 5.06.08 -> 6.02.06 -> 7.00.02
4. After verifying that no errors occur in either the upgrade process, or afterward in the logs, I go to the Host -> Site Management -> Export Template.
5. Give it a name and description and tell it to export content
6. Export the template and copy over the .template and .template.resources file to my enterprise dev environement.
From the Dev, I then login, go to site wizard and import the template by selecting the template I copied over. I tell it to replace duplicate modules. I step through the process of selecting my skin, containers, and setting up the name etc.
After import, all of my link click links point to incorrect pages. For example, a link on our page that links to VPN usage instead links back to the admin skin area.
Is there a way to update these links to point to the correct pages once in a new site? Am I missing a step of the upgrade process? Any help would be tremendous...
