HI all,

I have tried to move the login link from the menu to the footer but nothing works. Heres what I tried:

  1. Moved the control markup to the footer => It still shows the login in the menu
  2. So I deleted the login controls and put a link to the login page => logging in does not occur
  3. I set the controls to 'visible = false' and navigated to the login.aspx => leaves a menu divider in the menu and logging in gives an unknown error

I have searched the forums, no solution. I have searched the internet => old solution that n=do not apply or work.

What now?

Thanks

Did you use Artisteer to create the skin?

@Mike

I can find out but why do you ask? Does it enable you to move the login?

in your ascx you need to move this part:
< dnn:LOGIN ID="dnnLogin" CssClass="LoginLink" runat="server" LegacyMode="false" />

be sure you are looking at the right skin variant (check you page settings)

Shane,
The reason why I ask is that a skin created with Artisteer often display the Login link as a tab next to your other site navigation. I believe it runs Javascript to render it there. So, it's possible that, even if you move it in the ASCX, it's being moved at runtime by the JS code.
