Hi

I am new in Dnn world so maybe I request help. I made some online research but without any success.

I am using Dnn 7.

I have created a page and add the account login module in it. I would like that page e replaced by another page showing the disconnect button once the user is registred.

that I achieve with permission and it works pretty cool but I cannot figure out the right way to put the logout button in the page. I tried to add the following code  but it obviously do not works :

<dnn:LOGIN runat="server" id="dnnLOGIN" CssClass="login" /> | <dnn:USER runat="server" id="dnnUSER" CssClass="user" />
or

<a id="dnn_Login_cmdLogin" class="SkinObject" href=" __doPostBack('dnn$Login$cmdLogin','')">Login</a>
<a id="dnn_Login_cmdLogin" class="SkinObject" href=" __doPostBack('dnn$Login$cmdLogin','')">Logout</a>

Can someone tell me the right way to insert the logout button in  a page (being understood I do not want it in the skin so displyed everytime )?

Thanks in advance

D

Hi
Instead of this proceed with the usual way as:
place the account login module to your custom page.
Make this page as your home page for site.
On admin>site settings>user account settings>Login setting, set redirect after login field.
The logout button will come automatically

Hi Kumar

Thanks for the reply.
I am not sure I fully understand you. I tried what you suggest but no logout button is displayed anywhere. This method seems to be working just fine if the skin has :

then the lonin button is changed to logout button

but in my case, i do want to display a logout button in a different page that the login one

Maybe I am repeating but I have no idea how to do it in a proper way. Can you please guide me a little bit more with your explanations please.

Thanks in advance
D

Ok. if you are using a custom skin file, please check some points.
1. Have u registered the Login.ascx file to your skin file.
2.Have u used the same skin file for both pages (before login and after login).
The code you are using "" is ok.

Thanks,

The Login and Logout button comes from the same tocken,  so it would not be able to serperate this for a Login and a logout page.
