05.06.00 (459)

3.5

dnn:NAV runat="server" ID="dnnTopNav" ProviderName="DNNMenuNavigationProvider" IndicateChildren="True"  ControlOrientation="Horizontal"

The navigation doesnt work, it just displays the items one below the other like a list on the sitemap page.  I have changed the meta following tag, but the issue still exists:

< meta http-equiv='X-UA-Compatible' content='IE=EmulateIE9' />

The User agent string field is set to "Default", when I change it to "IE 10", the nav works fine again. Is it possible to set the  User agent string field programatically?

I also tried '40FINGERS_StyleHelper' and used this:

<fortyfingers:STYLEHELPER
    id="SH0"
    RemoveFromHead="http-equiv=X-UA-Compatible"
    AddToHead="<meta http-equiv='X-UA-Compatible' content='IE=EmulateIE9' />"
    AddAtEnd="False" IfUserAgentString="IE9" doctype="HTML 4.01 Strict"
    runat="server" />

That also doesnt solve the issue.

Help please. Thanks.

NAV will not work in IE11 AFAIK . Even the compatibility mode you're trying to set with our style helper will not help you in that case.
You should try to replace the NAV with DDR menu.

Normally that is not very difficult.

So there is no other option but to update either DNN (which is impossible in my case because of all the modules installed on the current DNN) or the DNNNav to DDRMenu?

So there really is no other way, maybe to change some config to accept IE11 as a compatible browser? From what I learned debugging is that they changed the user-agent of IE 11 and that's why the DNNNav sees the browser as "incompatible" and displays the menu as unordered list.

Cheers for the answer!
