In Firefox my site layout is fine.  I'm just trying to do a simple two column layout:  A header at the top, under it a small left hand column fixed at 200px, and a bigger one set to adjust to the window size.  The entire page goes a bit out of the window in IE on the left side. Before I get really into details I wanted to know if this is a somewhat common problem people have.

I have a screen shot here

You can see how the content pane AND the header are significantly out of the page and there's not even a scroll bar at the bottom. Also you'll see how the gradient I attached to the bottom left of the page and repeated doesn't show up - it appears at the very bottom of the page and it isn't that big of a concern but any help on that would be much appreciated as well.

Any ideas?

OK I fixed both problems.

For the main issue I just went back to DNN-Blue and edited it to look like I wanted.  I thought this would take a lot of time but it was extremely easy compared to the first time I made the skin.  Considering it was my first time skinning in DNN I guess that I screwed something up a while back when I had absolutely no idea what was going on.

For the gradient background all i did was instead of attaching the background to .pagemaster (the css class for the table containing the whole page),  I attached it to the body (duh!) like so:

body
{
    background-image: url(bg.jpg);
    background-attachment: fixed;
    background-position: left bottom;
    background-repeat: repeat-x;
}

...and that's that!
