Hello all,

Not certain if this belongs in the Skins/Themes/Templates section of the forums, and if not I apologize.  I am running into a problem with trying to remove the DotNetNuke favicon (the iconic 'D' symbol) and replacing it with an icon of our own.  I went to Admin -> Site Settings -> Basic Settings and uploaded a new icon file that we want for both of our sites that are load balanced.  However, when I navigate to the website (going through the load balancer) it shows the old DNN symbol again.  If I try to navigate to the individual sites, I will get our icon initially on the home page, but all of the pages beneath it do not have the icon.  I've tried renaming all cases of "favicon" to try and remove any references and at least get rid of the DNN symbol, but that doesn't seem to work either.

Any thoughts?

Thank you!

I feel a bit embarrassed since I think this might be a false error.  For some reason when I open it in my default browser and navigate to the site, it still causes a problem (Chrome, and I have tried incognito mode - which should not use the cache?).  But other browsers which I do not use as often were able to load the correct favicon.  I asked a fellow coworker to try out the site and it seems to work for them too...

favicons might be cached locally by the browser

I think you should remove all of the google cache , host cache , check the favicon file on the host , and if not, or go DNN and install the latest version. I think so
