Hi All,

i have problem that when i am using my skin which include

<dnn:DnnJsInclude runat="server" FilePath="js/jquery-1.7.1.min.js" PathNameAlias="SkinPath" />

the admin top menu not work , but when i remove this line, admin top menu return to work, but mys skin jquery script not work.

why is that happen, and how to resolve it ??

Hi,

You should not explicitly link to a specific jQuery version as this could conflict with other requests or needs on the page. Better request jQuery with the appropriate skin object or in code behind.

Skin (ascx file):

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="JQUERY" Src="~/Admin/Skins/jQuery.ascx" %>
<dnn:JQUERY ID="dnnjQuery" runat="server" />

Code behind (C#) - DNN 5.0 to 7.1:

DotNetNuke.Framework.jQuery.RequestRegistration();

Code behind - DNN 7.2 or later:

JavaScript.RequestRegistration(CommonJs.jQuery);
